The Island of Mull has a wealth of wildlife, history and some of the best scenery on the west coast of Scotland.

Tobermory makes a great base for any visit to Mull.

In Tobermory it has many amenities and attractions.

The TOBERMORY DISTILLERY…

…can be found in the car park overlooking the bay, producing the smooth “Tobermory” single malt and the peaty “Ledaig” single malt. The Distillery is open Monday-Friday 10am-5pm for tours.

The MULL MUSEUM…

…also located on the harbour front, run solely by volunteers with a wealth of knowledge. This small museum is packed with artefacts’ from all episodes in Tobermory and Mull history. Open Easter-October

AN-TOBAR Arts Centre…

…found in the upper part of the village has a wide range of exhibitions and live music from established to up and coming artists. They also have their own cafe. March-April & Oct-Dec Tues-Sat 10.00am-4.00pm. May-Sept Mon-Sat 10.00am-5.00pm.

TOBERMORY GOLF CLUB…

…can be found in upper Tobermory, this 9 hole golf course is one of the most pictures courses on the Western Isles and can also be one of the most challenging. Open all Year Green fees can be bought at Browns Ironmongers.

AROS PARK…

…situated less than a mile from Tobermory is very well maintained by Forest Enterprise and has been developed as recreational woodland. The company has gone to a lot of trouble to provide good parking, disabled access, clear, unobstructed paths, barbeque facilities, fabulous childrens play areas and toilets. All of these facilities are free of charge and available all year.

Around the island there are many places of interest

From the history on the Isle of Iona, the birth place of Christianity, Duart castle the home of the clan MacLean and the small piece of Australia where Sir Lachlan Macquarie Mausoleum can be found. The wealth of history on the Island is immense but do ask a member of staff for help they should always be able to put you on the right track.
